A Brisbane business move across three working areas
JB Removals’ Brisbane project brought together a laboratory and office move, including warehouse equipment. This was a mixed commercial relocation: specialist equipment and work areas formed part of the scope alongside everyday office furniture.
The project photographs show tall laboratory cabinets, stainless steel benches, benchtop instruments, open storage, a printer area, an office workstation and meeting-room furniture. Together, they illustrate why a laboratory relocation needs a different brief from a furniture-only office move.
Laboratory equipment relocation
Tall cabinets and glass-front equipment
The laboratory scope included several tall cabinets, including a glass-front unit and cabinets with digital control panels. Their height, depth, doors and surrounding clearance are important details in a moving assessment. The front and side photographs give a useful view of those different dimensions.
For a comparable Brisbane laboratory move, equipment identification, manufacturer transport requirements and the full access route help determine preparation and handling. Any temperature-sensitive contents need their own agreed arrangements before a cabinet is moved.
Benches, instruments and smaller laboratory items
Stainless steel benches, castor-mounted work surfaces, benchtop instruments and lower-shelf storage are visible across the laboratory photographs. Glassware and loose items are also present. These are distinct parts of the inventory: a bench, its instruments and the contents stored around it each need to be accounted for.
Grouping the scope by room and equipment type helps a business specify what belongs in each receiving area. It also makes the distinction between furniture movement and specialist equipment preparation clearer when planning a new relocation.
Office furniture and workstation relocation
Workstations, printing and storage
The office photographs show a printer and open storage area, together with a workstation containing a monitor, chair and smaller equipment. This adds a conventional office-removal component to the laboratory and warehouse brief.
For businesses arranging an office move in Brisbane, the inventory should identify desks, chairs, printers, shelving and loose contents separately. IT disconnection, data handling and reconnection responsibilities should be agreed with the business before the move.
Meeting-room furniture
A large meeting table and upholstered chairs are pictured with boxed items around the room. Meeting furniture needs its own space in the relocation brief, including the table’s dimensions, any required dismantling and the room in which it will be placed.
Warehouse equipment within the commercial scope
The warehouse equipment formed part of the wider move alongside the laboratory and office areas. The supplied photo set concentrates on the laboratory equipment, benches, storage and office rooms, giving the case study a clear record of those parts of the project.
Assess each equipment item separately
For another warehouse or commercial equipment relocation, provide an itemised list with dimensions, known weights, service connections and destination positions. Loading access, vehicle requirements and any mechanical handling equipment can then be assessed against the actual items and route.
A laboratory cabinet, a loaded storage unit and an office table have different preparation needs. Bringing them into one commercial scope allows those differences to be addressed while keeping the move organised around the business’s receiving areas.
Preparation around specialist equipment and safety storage
Yellow safety-storage cabinets with warning labels are visible in the laboratory. For a new project, the business should identify cabinet contents and confirm the relevant preparation and transport requirements before collection. The cabinet and anything stored inside it need to be considered separately.
Laboratory staff and authorised technicians should define any required shutdown, decontamination, disconnection, calibration and recommissioning work. These responsibilities should be recorded in the agreed relocation scope, along with any arrangements for samples, chemicals or temperature-controlled material.

Planning a laboratory, office or warehouse move in Brisbane?
Send a room-by-room inventory, photographs, equipment dimensions and known weights, pickup and delivery suburbs, access details and your preferred timing. Include loading-dock or lift bookings and the intended position of larger equipment at the destination.
JB can review your commercial moving requirements and discuss the handling, transport and preparation needed for the agreed scope.
Laboratory and office moving questions
What did this Brisbane relocation include?
The project combined laboratory and office relocation with warehouse equipment. The photographs show laboratory cabinets, stainless steel benches, instruments, storage, a printer area, a workstation and meeting-room furniture.
Can laboratory and office equipment be included in one move?
Yes. Send the full inventory so the different equipment, furniture and contents can be assessed together. Preparation, handling and technical responsibilities should be specified for each part of the scope.
What information is needed for a laboratory moving quote?
Provide equipment photos, make and model where available, dimensions, known weights, service connections, both access routes and destination positions. Identify any contents with separate transport or temperature requirements.
Does moving laboratory equipment include disconnection and calibration?
Technical work must be expressly agreed. Identify who will isolate services, prepare equipment, disconnect and reconnect it, and complete any calibration or recommissioning before the move is booked.
Can chemicals or samples remain in laboratory cabinets?
Do not assume they can travel with the cabinet. Identify the contents and confirm separate preparation, transport and temperature-control requirements with the responsible laboratory staff and relevant specialists.
How is warehouse equipment assessed for relocation?
Each item needs its own dimensions, known weight, access and preparation information. JB can then assess the handling and transport scope, including whether further site assessment is needed.
